BODIES OF ARCHIVES
Exhibition at Vinzenz, Vienna
Vinzenzgasse 24, 1180 Vienna
26 February – 1 March 2026
Bodies remember what history erases.
This exhibition traces the body as a living archive — storing what slips through official narratives: gestures, wounds, migrations, intimacies, ruptures. We invite artists and collectives to reflect on bodies that carry memory beyond record, marked by movement, queerness,
and marginalization — bodies that insist on presence where absence was expected.
Bodies of Archives asks:
What remains in the skin when the archive is silent? What does a body preserve that the nation forgets? How do gestures become testimonies — and how does film, performance, or text make these testimonies visible?
